Doug is a member of the Enterprise Risk & Quantitative Advisory practice unit, focusing on model risk management advisory services. He provides model risk management consulting and model validations (BSA/AML, CECL, ALM, ALLL, Consumer Lending, and others), as well as forensic data analytics services.
He has more than 15 years of experience working for international accounting and advisory firms in their fraud investigation, dispute services, compliance risk, and litigation consulting practices. His breadth of experience includes performing investigations and forensic analysis for clients across varying industries and around the world. Much of his work was centered around the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering regulations and understanding the inner workings of those financial transactions, which are the basis for our BSA model validations.
Doug has performed consulting and advisory engagements for several large companies to improve efficiencies and processes for fraud detection and help them proactively reduce risk by monitoring financial activity. He has reactively traced and reclaimed funds involved in major Ponzi schemes and has spent the past several years focusing on assisting financial institutions with validating their various complex models.
He is a 2007 graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, with a B.S. degree in applied economics and management and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP), and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
